Do you ever wonder why someone would buy marked down bread, meat, cheese, or chips? Do you have any idea for what to do with them? I have to say that I look at the mark downs as a way to extend my grocery dollar.
Crushed bag of chips...use to make a coating for chicken and bake in oven
Meat...................freeze it and it will be fine later(you should check out the bacon in my freezer)
Graham crackers........make a crust for a cheesecake or other dessert
Cheese.................freezes very well!
Milk...................can be frozen; just shake very well when you take it out
Day old bread..........french toast, toasted sandwiches, breakfast casserole
Very ripe fruit........freeze for later, use in muffins, smoothies, baking
When you see a markdown, think not I wonder why someone would buy that but what could I do with that!
